I'm feeling emotional today thinking of David Graeber. It makes sense that one would feel emotional, when, for example, a celebrity like Prince dies if you had been a fan for a long time, perhaps since adolescence. But Graeber wasn't a pop or film star, he was a nerdy anthropology don and author of social science books that I first read in 2012. I felt really down when he died for several days and feel that again today reading that review in NY Mag. I think that suggests the kind of unique influence he's had on me.
